Description:

War of 1812 or Later Eagle Head Sword with Blued Blade. This open beak flat head eagle appears to be an officer grade sword with vertical grip flutes ornate, grip straps, and grip ferrel. Eagle has strong presence. Blade measures 30-1/4" x 3/4" with blueing ending 11-1/2" from the recasso. Hilt measures 5-1/2" and sword measures 35" overall. Condition: Blade has light peppering at recasso and heavy at 1" of tip. Blueing still has a strong glow at 75% plus. Hilt has a bent quillon that can be realigned. No other damage to sword and appears to be unmarked.
