Description:

Confederate Civil War - P53 Pattern Enfield Tower Musket with a Confederate Anchor ”S” inspection stamp at end of butt tang and behind the trigger guard. Stamped “Tower 1863” on the lock with a Birmingham Small Arms Trade cartouche at rear of Butt stock, right side. Likely one of the blockade muskets that came from Bermuda to the port of Wilmington, North Carolina. Wilmington was the last major Confederate port still operating that late in the war. Condition: Overall original untouched with factory finish. Missing the Ram Rod, swivels, and what appears to have been an inlayed Confederate Coin that was applied in the Butt stock near the Birmingham stamp by the carrier.
