Description:

Two similar American needlework samplers. Both of virtually identical format except for borders. Executed by sisters Harriet Norton and Martha Norton of Vermont (possibly Rutland, VT). Both samplers having alphabet and religious verse, along with multicolored baskets of flowers, Circa 1820. Removed from contemporary frames for examination, slightly wrinkled but in very good condition.
